Ellis has enjoyed a dual career in the Finance and Banking Industry and in the Australian Army. He was a senior Regional Manager for Associated Midland Corporation (Midland Bank UK) in which he served for 23 years. He recently retired from the Australian Army Reserve in the rank of Brigadier, commanding the 9th Brigade (all Arms and Services in South Australia and Tasmania). He has been a Director of companies in South Australia, NSW and Tasmania. He has a history of public involvement in Local Government and government committees, and has been honoured as a Member of the Order of Australia for his services to the community. He has also been awarded the Reserve Forces Decoration (RFD) with two bars and the Citizen's Military Forces Decoration (ED) with bar.
Christopher is a former Managing Director of PKF Securities Limited. Previously he held the senior finance position in BTR Nylex (now part of Invensys plc), and was finance director in Elders. Christopher is an associate of the Australian Society of Chartered Professional Accountants and a Fellow of the Securities Institute of Australasia. He has served as deputy chairman of the South Australian State Professional Standards Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. He lectures for the Securities Institute of Australia on subjects including the valuation of options and derivatives, and has published on the financial theory of banking. Christopher now runs his own financial services consultancy.
Pamela is a prominent member of the Queensland community, both in business and as a committed charity worker. She is a partner and director in her family’s engineering firm which has undertaken major infrastructure projects in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria. She also owns and operates her own couturier business in Ascot, Brisbane, under the name of “Frockworks” which has been a corporate member of SOS Australia for many years. She holds national office in the Military and Hospitaller Order of St Lazarus of Jerusalem – an international ancient Order of Chivalry which supports charities in Australia and internationally. The Order has also been a supporter of SOS-Australia.
